II. Functions
1. The Faculty of Technique and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Faculty) is a specialized one of the College, operating in accordance with the provisions of the Vocational Education Law and the College's regulations.
2. The Faculty of Technique and Technology carries out training and fostering engineering and technology; scientific researches and application of science and technology to create products and services for the college and socio-economic development.
III. Duties
1. Training
- Implementing the training plan for college, intermediate, elementary, under-3-month training programs in the fields of the Faculty; providing learners with specialized knowledge and practical competence of the following majors including Mechanical Equipment Manufacturing, Welding, Metal Cutting Technology, Automotive Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Industrial Electricity, Operation of Hydroelectric Power Plants, Garment Making, and Construction. Training high-quality human resources to meet the labor demands of society.
- Carrying out training, visits, and internships for students, meet the requirements of scientific researches, and applying them to effectively utilize the facilities of the College.
- Managing the quality of teaching and learning, continuously improving and enhancing the comprehensive competence and professional quality of teachers and students of the Faculty.
- Planning and implementating training activities according to the general plan of the college, including: developing training programs assigned by the college; compiling detailed course syllabi; materials and textbooks according to the College’s development orientation; conducting researches to improve teaching and learning methods; implementing methods of assessing and evaluating students’ learning outcomes, ensuring learners’s outcoming standard and meet the needs of the labor market.
- Planning and registrating researches of all levels for basic scientific researches as well as applied researches for the socio-economic development; collaborating with manufacturers related to the training fields of the Faculty.
- Training human resources: college, intermediate, elementary, and under – 3- month training levels to equip learners with practical skills corresponding to their training level, health, ethics; having professional responsibility; creativity, adaption to the working environment in the context of international integration; ensuring the improvement of labor productivity and quality; giving learners opportunities to find jobs, run their own business, persue higher education.
- Organizing appropriate service activities to maximize the potential of the Faculty.
- Carrying out scientific and technological products and services according to assigned functions and tasks.
2. Management
- Planning to foster teaching staff of training majors and the facilities for training and scientific researches, enhancing the conditions for training quality ensurance.
- Coordinating with relevant faculties and divisions to develop plans and implementating politics, ideology, ethics, and lifestyle education for teachers and learners; planning to train and foster professional skills for staff of the Faculty.
- Managing teachers and learners of the Faculty according to the hierarchy of the Rector.
- Developing annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly working plans for teachers, staff in the Faculty in line with the College's orientation.
- Organizing and evaluating management staff and teachers in the Faculty and other managerment staff of the College as the College’s regulations.
- Efficiently managing and using training facilities, equipment according to regulations; proposing, developing plans for adding, repairing, maintening Faculty’s equipment.
- Performing other tasks assigned by the Rector.
