II. Functions
1. The faculty of Foreign Languages - Informatics and Learning Materials (hereinafter referred to as the Faculty) is a specialized one of the College, operating in accordance with the provisions of the Vocational Education Law and the College's Regulations.
2. The Faculty is responsible for organizing, managing foreign languages and informatics training and fostering; developing, applying information technology (IT) in the College's activities; managing, organizing the programming and development of the learning materials system for the College's training and scientific research); researching, implementing the application of science and technology to provides services for the College and provincial socio-economic development.
III. Duties
1. Training
- Training foreign languages, informatics for special purposes at the college and intermediate levels; teaching foreign languages, informatics at the college, intermediate, and elementary levels inside and outside the College; being responsible for scientific researching activities and cooperating in training foreign languages and informatics.
- Planning and implementing training activities according to the College's general plans, including:
+ Developing assigned training curriculum; composing projects, compiling materials, textbooks according to the College's development orientation and current regulations;
+ Organizing researches on improving teaching and learning methods; developing and implementing methods of testing, evaluating students’ learning results, ensuring the learners’ output standards as committed and announced, meeting the needs of the labor market;
+ Planning and organizing scientific activities, international cooperation; cooperating with scientific organizations, production facilities, and businesses related to the training profession and involving the participation of businesses in the Falcuty's training process.
- Coordinating with the Training Management Division to set up additional classes; coordinating with the Testing And Quality Management Division to organize final exams for students; coordinating with qualified legal institutes to organize teaching and testing foreign languages and informatics, issuing certificates for learners according to regulations.
2. Information technology development and application
- Planning, managing, operating the College's website, management software, e-library information, e-learningn system; researching and transferring digital technology.
- Developing IT facilities; managing, operating computer network systems; troubleshooting computer problems, computer network system, and IT equipment; managing and utilizing computer rooms, equipment of teaching, researching, working , and other tasks related to IT for the College's general activities.
- Coordinating, supporting other faculties, divisions, staff of the College in applying IT in teaching, working, digitizing documents, compiling E-Learning lectures to improve the quality of training and scientific research.
3. Management of learning materials system for training and scientific research
- Managing, planning and developing the learning materials system for the College's training and scientific research.
- Developing learning sources to meet the teaching, learning, and scientific researching needs of the College.
- Developing short-term and long-term plans for the library; distributing and processing the entire system of information and materials in the college library.
- Serving, guiding readers to access, search, and use effectively the learning materials and library services. Managing, organizing documents on the digital library to ensure effective and easy retrieval; guiding staff, and students to access and using learning materials on the digital library for teaching, learning, and scientific research.
- Studying and applying scientific achievements, advanced technology, and IT in library profession.
- Organizing library services, providing information, digitizing, and copying documents according to the provisions of the law and the College’s regulations.
4. Management
- Planning to foster teaching staff of training majors and the facilities for training and scientific researches, enhancing the conditions for training quality ensurance.
- Coordinating with relevant faculties and divisions to plan and implement political, ideology, ethics, and lifestyle education for teachers and learners; making training plans, professional development to enhance the staff’s professional competence of in the Faculty.
- Managing staff and learners of the Faculty according to the hierarchy of the Rector.
- Developing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual working plans for staff of the Faculty according to the College’s orientation.
- Evaluating managerment staff, teaching staff of the Faculty and management staff of the College according to the College’s regulations.
- Managing and using the training facilities and equipment effectively according to regulations; recommending and making plans for adding, repairing, and maintaining the equipment of the Faculty.
- Performing other duties assigned by the Rector.
